About Me

Art is a silent language. For me a successful painting is one that 'reads' from across the room and then pulls you to it. It should hold your interest at a distance and more intimately close up. My medium of choice, at this time, is mainly acrylic but I also enjoy the looseness of watercolor. I feel my experimentation with mixed media and different painting styles contributes to my enthusiasm and never-ending discovery of inspiration. I specialize in minimalist, landscape and abstract and lately I am enjoying animals. My mother, Alice and sister, Cathy both artists in their own right, started my journey as an artist. I benefited from their participation in many workshops and courses and thus my passion for art. Dale Shutt (silk painter) and Doug Mays (watercolor artist) influenced me by attending their inspiring workshops. I am a member of the Pontiac Artist's Association (PAA).
