Let the bidding wars begin

The Pontiac Artists' Association held a successful Silent Art Auction on Friday April 22, 2016.  Thirty-two local artists donated artworks to the auction. Mediums ranged from paintings in oil, watercolour and acrylic through to porcelain, fused and stained glass, fiber art textile work and mixed media. All of the works were on display for the evening while art lovers examined the work and made bids on their favourites. Locally roasted coffee and home made desserts were enjoyed while patrons listened to live music provided by Jeanne McTiernan and Linda Godin whose repertoire ranges from fiddle tunes through a wide range of popular melodies. All proceeds from the auction will be used by the PAA to help with operating expenses such as rent, accounting fees, insurance, and office supplies.
