Artist Card Meet, Trade and Short Demo

Artist Cards are so fun.  I like trading them and anyone can make and trade them.  We meet every last Saturday of the month usually at Cafe 349 in Shawville but this month we met at the Stone School Gallery in Portage.  Martina Evans was so kind to give a short fun demo on  creating surfaces for mixed media art.  I will have to start making new Artist Cards to get ready for next month.

Everyone is welcome to come join us.  I love getting together, having a coffee and chatting.

Day 3 - Exploring Printmaking with Rob Hinchley

Had so much fun making collographs, inking, wiping off, and printing today that I forgot to take photos.  I did get a few pics of  Rob telling us the process.

 Inking the plate

The print and the ghost print after rolling on black and green ink.  How nice is that?

Now it's our turn.

Day 2 - Exploring Printmaking with instructor Rob Hinchley

Linoprint - the process.  First I drew a cow.

Then charcoal the back and place on your lino.  Then draw over your lines.  Then you use the carving tools.

Then place paper in water and ink up lino

Chine colle - glue side up

We spent part of the afternoon creating our collograph.
